This website belongs to MixTape Art Dept., a founder-led creative studio run by Michael. This page explains what information the site collects and what happens to it.
The contact form
When you send the project form, it collects your name and email address, plus anything else you choose to include: your band, artist or business name, what you’re looking to make, your project description, budget and timeline.
Those details are emailed to me so I can reply. They aren’t stored in this website’s database, apart from a few minutes so the page can show you whether your message was sent.
I use what you send only to talk with you about your project. I don’t sell it, share it, or add you to a mailing list.
Spam protection
To keep out automated spam, the form uses a hidden field, a short timer and a temporary counter based on an anonymised version of your IP address. The counter is deleted automatically after about ten minutes.
Cookies and tracking
This site doesn’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If you move the Art Dept. experiment cards around on the homepage, your browser remembers where you put them until you close the tab; that stays on your device. My hosting provider may run a brief automatic security check to keep bots out.
Fonts and links to other sites
The site’s fonts come from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers to download them and Google receives your IP address. Links to other websites, including the projects on Our Work, take you to sites that have their own privacy policies.
Your choices
If you’d like me to delete a message you sent, or to tell you what I have, send a note through the contact form and I’ll take care of it.
Changes
If anything here changes, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
